The European Cup Winners' Cup, also known as the Coupe des Vainqueurs de Coupe Européenne or simply Cup Winners' Cup (Coupe des Coupes), was a trophy awarded annually by UEFA to the football club that wins the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Before the 1994–95 season the competition shared its name with the trophy, being also known as the European Cup Winners' Cup.

The UEFA regulations stated that a club would get to keep the original trophy upon their third consecutive win or fifth overall, although this never happened. No club ever managed to successfully defend their title and the club with the most overall wins is Barcelona, who won it four times.[1] Hence the trophy was permanently awarded to Lazio, the last winners.
